Founded in 2024 in Boerne, TX, Ranch Hand Rover was born from a passion for cars and a firsthand understanding of how stressful car buying can be without the right support.

Long before owners Shawn and Christine met, Christine bought a used truck and drove solo down the West Coast. Just before heading home, the truck broke down. With no mechanical background, alone, and on a tight budget, she chose the first shop that could take her in, trading inflated costs for fewer nights in a hotel. During the repair, she learned her “certified” used truck had a faulty catalytic converter, sloppily welded in. The dealership hadn’t disclosed it, and she paid the price for someone else’s shortcut.

That experience stuck. Later, with years of experience as a professional technician in both high-end dealerships and specialized shops, Shawn saw stories like Christine’s happen again and again: people left with costly repairs, unclear answers, and no one truly on their side.
